Executive Summary

AIS Fiber is a project where AIS Group is launching high-speed broadband internet service under the name of “AIS Fiber” that focus on 100% pure fiber service. The first goal is to be a number two broadband provider with a customer base of about 2 million. This may take another 2-3 years, because the target customer at the end of 2016 is four hundred thousand before expanding to 1 million next year in order to become a number two provider.

This also promotes a home-based Internet service called “Fiber to the Home”, as part of Strategic Plan No. 1 of the government’s Digital Economy and Social Development Plan, in accordance cabinet resolution on 5 April 2016 (details in Appendix 1). ) to develop high-performance digital infrastructure across the country. Therefore, AIS started Internet Fiber to the Home as a pilot project in 28 provinces and AIS entrusted to deliver the concession work exclusively to Zen Technology Co., Ltd. to operate as a partner to expand network and distribution in 19 provinces nationwide.

Executive Summary

1. To establish a fiber optic network under the NBTC’s 15-year license (maximum) in 19 provinces across the country to maximize profits from AIS Fiber in AIS Rental Agreement with opportunities for beneficial business of the network of Zen Technology Co., Ltd.
Zen Technology Co., Ltd. will focus on developing high-performance digital infrastructure by optic fiber. In the long run, high-speed internet infrastructure will become a basic infrastructure, as well as electricity, water, electricity and water supply that can support the connectivity of the public sector in the provinces and everyone will have access to high-speed internet. Joint business with AIS and the government enable the service to be leased for various projects such as City’s CCTV Network and to serve primary mission to provide services for networks with AIS Fibre to enable AIS to expand citywide broadband Internet access according to the AIS goal with the costs that are not a barrier for public access, including opportunity to expand the service across the border to major border cities of neighboring countries like Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia.

2. To create revenue from sales and marketing to FTTx Package Internet users from AIS Fiber to maximize profits Zen Technology Co., Ltd. will develop the market with the provincial partner after the provincial network is established by selecting a potential partner in the business running, and arranging event and sales team to provide and installation and to develop local market with the partners sustainably and in cost-effective manner.

3. To response to AIS goal in becoming a number one for FTTx systems in the future AIS Fiber is committed to be number one in the industry, as evidenced by its leadership in investing in 100% Fiber Optic service network in the country, strategies to compete with its competitors, for example, to provide Internet TV service by taking over HBO and Premium channels from the previous operator, as well as to target other market segments such as internet top-up service for students, to provide better prices and promotions than others in the market including marketing through medias and marketing activities. Thus, Zen Technology Co., Ltd. has provided a team to work in the marketing team, local partner management team, and network deployment team to align and respond to AIS’s and company goals.
